Develop a Giving Strategy
Everyone’s giving strategy is different. We invite the opportunity to discuss your giving strategy and offer a unique way to invest a portion of your investment returns in improving the lives of the world’s most vulnerable.
We’re here to assist you in identifying key needs and connecting with charities and programs that are making a real impact.
Considering which causes to support is a great way to involve children and grand-children. You could have regular meetings to decide how to make allocations. We can help facilitate this.

Donor-advised giving allows individuals to contribute to a dedicated fund, receive an immediate tax benefit, and support charities over time.
We can help you to:
1. Set-up a Giving Fund:
A Giving Fund is a sub-fund, within our ACNC registered Public Ancillary Fund which allows you to participate in where the funds are distributed, without the governance headaches. You decide what the fund is called and it can be promoted to your networks.
2. Establish a Corpus:
You get an immediate tax deduction for any money you put in the Giving Fund but it can be released over time. We will invest the funds, in accordance with our Investment Policy and then make donations from the income. We need to distribute at least 4% of the corpus each year. If the income is greater than that we can give more away or let the corpus build up for greater impact in the future. If appropriate, the corpus can also be reduced over time, bringing forward the impact of your giving.
3. Advise the trustees how to Distribute.
It is the responsibility of the trustees to determine how to distribute gifts from the Foundation including any giving funds. This is to ensure that recipients meet appropriate governance and outcome objectives. The trustees will seek your advice on how you would like your giving fund allocated. Distributions will be made to:
- Our Charity Partners or Endorsed Charities
- Any ACNC registered charity with DGR Item 1 status.
4. Get the family involved.
Have you thought about how the nest generation will carry on your philanthropy? We can help you to hold family meetings to consider which charities to support. And we can facilitate engagement opportunities directly with the charities you are helping, including immersion trips overseas.
Fees & Reporting
We provide quarterly updates on what your giving fund has supported, how much is left to give and how much it’s earning.
We do not charge fees. All our overheads are covered, so every dollar donated can go where it’s needed most.
We do however ask that you consider allocating some of your giving to Seeding Hope Ltd, our charity supporting vulnerable people experiencing poverty, homelessness and distress in Australia and around the world.
Go Beyond Giving
See firsthand
Nothing beats seeing the need and meeting the people face to face. We regularly visit our charity partners in Australia, Asia and Africa and we love taking friends with us.
Our immersion trips are a great way to expand your horizons and see the impact of your work firsthand – You won’t come back the same.

Use Your Influence
You probably take it for granted that you have the ability to influence people in your networks. This influence can be leveraged to help others.
What doors are you able to open for charities that they can’t?
- Make an introduction to the right person,

- Promote a charity fundraiser from your platform,
- Add credibility to an application,
- Ask suppliers to donate goods
These actions would cost you nothing but may be priceless to the charity.

Volunteer Your Time

- Occasional events
- Corporate days
- Hold a fundraiser
Use Your Resources
Do you have an asset that you could allow a charity to use?
- Office space, meeting rooms, hot desk or storage facilities
- Event spaces
- Host a fundraiser on your boat
- Provide a rental property at half rent
- Transport
- IT infrastructure
- Surplus furniture
Housing Projects
At the Payton Foundation, we recognize the shortage of suitable housing, and we are dedicated to increasing social housing stock and supporting scalable housing solutions.
Due Diligence Process
Charity Partners and Payton Endorsed Charities represent two distinct relationships with the Payton Foundation.
A Charity Partner has undergone in-depth due diligence and receives ongoing support and commitment from the Payton Foundation. These partnerships involve direct collaboration, with the Foundation actively engaging in projects, providing ongoing seed funding and promotion to our network of Giving Partners. We are dedicated to this partnership, attending events and offering expertise to strengthen their efforts. This relationship emphasises long-term commitments to mutual goals. Additionally, we provide Giving Partners with opportunities to visit, volunteer and connect with these charities, fostering meaningful relationships and engagement. This collaboration not only enhances the charity’s capacity to make a difference but also amplifies the effectiveness of your contributions.
Payton Endorsed Charities have undergone a due diligence process to ensure alignment with our values, including a commitment to community impact, sustainability, and integrity. Each endorsed charity demonstrates the capacity to empower individuals and deliver meaningful outcomes through their work. Support for these charities comes from our Giving Partners.
If you would like to give to a charity not on the endorsed list, but you want to make sure they are well managed, we can do the due diligence review for you, for donations exceeding $30,000 pa.
